A TRIP TO FOREVER is a short story inspired by the tale of Peter Pan and Wendy.
The story surrounds a girl named Eva who lives in a mental institution. One night, Eva is approached by a boy named Henry. He’s young and beautiful, and asks Eva to join him on a trip. Eva agrees and falls into a long slumber.
When woken, Eva finds herself on an island called Foreverland. On it are many children. There are young girls who are thin and beautiful, boys who are handsome and dazzling. It is an island where the girls create beautiful bracelets and other stunning garments. Everyone is free to express themselves. Boys are allowed to date boys and the girls are free to be with other girls. Each boy is polite and the girls are equally lovely. Eva is amazed by this special land where everyone is gorgeous and spectacular.
Before the sun sets, Henry tells Eva that she cannot stay. Saddened, Eva begs him to tell her why. Henry insists she is not ‘special’ enough to live on Foreverland.
As the sun sets on Foreverland, the mask of the island comes off. The thin girls are bending over toilets, vomiting their life. The handsome boys are raping girls. The girls who make the bracelets are slitting their wrists, using the garments to cover their skin and the jewellery to hide their wounds. The boys dating boys are holding guns to their heads, and the girls dating girls are begging at their partner’s feet for their love, while the partner tells them to drop dead.
During the day, Foreverland is heaven. By night it is a place where the ‘special’ are in exile.
Horrified, Eva runs from Henry. She escapes to the edge of the island with nowhere to go. Before attempting to swim away, a small motor boat approaches Eva. On it is a man named Doctor Shea. He explains to Eva that Foreverland is a place where children with mental and physical disorders are taken. He and his crew are attempting to retrieve them all and take them to the real world for help. Eva agrees to go with him, once again falling asleep during the trip.
Eva wakes back in her room. It is early morning in the mental institution. She begins to bang on her doors and yell for help. When nurses and doctors arrive, she explains to them that there is an island where sick children are imprisoned. The doctors regard her story as a joke and leave her in her room. Minutes later, a nurse finds her lying on the floor with slit wrists. Eva had broken a cup and used it to kill herself. Unfortunately, her attempt failed. She was moved into a padded room and sedated for her safety.
Hours later, Eva wakes and discovered she is being held in a strait-jacket. Crazed with the idea of being considered ‘special’, all through the night Eva throws herself against the walls and screams for help. She begs outsiders not to let Henry take her.
In the early hours of the morning, after calming down, an exhausted Eva begins to fall asleep. After each blink she sees an image of Henry coming closer. Her screams pick up again, but are cut short when Henry reaches her.
During the day there are no bangs against the doors. No walls are being hammered and there are no ear piercing screeches. A nurse goes to check on Eva, but her findings are shocking. Eva is found curled in a corner surrounded by blood. She had been dead for hours, her throat was torn out. The doctors did not understand how she had managed it, but the biggest mystery was that there was no pupil or iris in her eyes. It was just the eyeball.
Foreverland is an island where the souls of ‘special’ children go. Children of mental hospitals are approached by a demon in the night by the name of Henry. He masks his island in the day as a place where children like Eva could be free. At night it becomes a prison where their suffering returns and there is no end.
Recently (like 10 mins ago) I thought of a new plot for a short story. I wrote it all down and I’d like to get people’s opinions. Anyone want me to post the preview kind of thing?

This is Haylee. I met her online recently and was given permission to share her story. Shes 16 years old and has been suffering with Anorexia Nervosa (binge purge subtype) for 10 years now. She has permanent heart problems, shes has 2 heart attacks since January, and was in a coma in March. Shes constantly in the hospital due to her eating disorder, and shes spent 7 months in the hospital this year. It’s come to my attention that there are a lot of people on tumblr with “pro-anorexic” blogs who seem to WANT this disease and give “tips” to their followers to “become anorexic”. I want you to look at this photo, at this young girl who has wasted 10 years of her life in agony and ask yourself, how can you be pro this? How can you encourage others to do this to themselves? Please reblog this and help it get around to other blogs to show the reality of eating disorders and the pain they cause and put a stop to “pro anorexia” blogs.
People who promote anorexia and bulimia make me disgusted. Like how can you tell someone to not eat so they can look good? How can someone be like “oh I just threw up after every meal today and lost 5 pounds!” Like no, fuck you. You don’t know how to take proper care of yourself, let alone should you be able to give “advice” to others saying its ok. You wanna be skinny? Do it the right way by working out and eating clean, so you don’t have a heart attack and die by the age of 18 because you hardly ever ate. That bikini body you’re trying to get will not serve you well lying in a coffin with your parents and family crying over you asking themselves why their child succumbed to the evil demon we call anorexia or bulimia.
If this post gets more than 1,500 notes by May 30th, I will go to my last day of school as The Doctor.
